Servlog does not collect, store, transmit, or sell your personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking. We do not run a server that stores your information.
Everything you put into Servlog is stored only on your iPhone: your vehicles, service records, mileage and odometer readings, costs, notes, and any photos of receipts, odometers, registration, insurance or title documents (including any VIN, license plate, policy number, or other details they contain). This data is never uploaded to us.
Servlog makes a few requests to public reference services to look up vehicle information. These requests contain only vehicle identifiers (such as a VIN, or year/make/model) — never your name, account, or personal information — and are not used to track you:
vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov, api.nhtsa.gov.fueleconomy.gov.api.eia.gov.If you use “Find service nearby,” your approximate location is used through Apple Maps (MapKit) to show nearby shops and gas stations. If you enable seasonal car-care tips, your approximate location is used through Apple WeatherKit to fetch local conditions. In both cases your location is processed for that feature only — we never receive or store your location. These are Apple services governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
The camera and photo library are used only when you scan or import a VIN, odometer, receipt or document. The microphone is used only when you tap to log a service by voice. All recognition (text, barcodes, documents), AI extraction and summaries (Apple Foundation Models), speech transcription, and translation run entirely on your device. None of this is uploaded by us.
Optional in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). We do not receive your payment details.
Servlog is not directed to children and collects no personal data from anyone.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
